A guide to choosing, styling and caring for your shawl or stole.
Shawl or stole?
Shawl: 101 × 203 cm. A wider piece to drape over both shoulders or wear open across an outfit.
Stole: 71 × 203 cm. A narrower piece to loop loosely at the neck or lay over one shoulder. Both sizes share a length of 203 cm; the difference is the width.
One piece. Several ways to wear it.
For a relaxed drape, lay the piece over your shoulders and leave the ends open. To frame a kurta or jacket, fold it lengthways and place one end over your shoulder. A narrower stole can be looped loosely at the neck.
Let a detailed border remain visible. Pair an intricate all-over design with a quieter outfit, or pick one colour from the pattern to connect the two.
Care for your piece.
Dry clean only. Keep jewellery and sharp edges away from decorative threads, and store your piece neatly when it is not being worn.
